Trident Resources Corp. Completes Financial Restructuring and Emerges from Bankrupcty Protection (HTML)
Trident Resources Corp., Trident Exploration Corp. and affiliates (together “the Company” or “Trident”) announces today a successful emergence from protection under the Company's Creditors Arrangement Act in Canada and Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code. As a result of the restructuring, Trident has obtained a new equity investment of approximately $247 million from leading institutional investors.

Trident Resources Corp. ("TRC") is pleased to announce a significant operating milestone has been recently achieved in the Corbett Creek - Ft. Assiniboine Mannville coal bed methane ("CBM") field area located in north central Alberta. TRC's drilling department, through its subsidiaries, Trident Exploration Corp. and Fort Energy Corp (collectively "Trident"), have operated the drilling of 650,000 meters or 2,100,000 feet of horizontal and multi-lateral horizontal drilling in the 1st commercial Mannville CBM gas field in Canada.
